Connect your Spreadshop domain to Google

Google Search Console is a free tool that helps you monitor and optimize the visibility of your Spreadshop domain in Google Search results. You can use it to request indexing of new pages and track search performance.

Step-by-Step: Verify Your Shop with Google Search Console

  1. Go to Google Search Console
Visit Google Search Console and log in with your Google account.

  2. Add Your Spreadshop Domain

    • Click on the dropdown menu in the top left.

    • Select 'Add property'.

    • Under 'URL prefix', enter your full Spreadshop URL (e.g.,https://yourshop.myspreadshop.com).

  3. Choose Verification Method

      • Select the “HTML tag” option.

      • Copy the code string shown between the quotation marks. This is your Google Property ID.

(Make sure to copy only the part between the "...", which is highlighted in orange.)
      • Enter the Property ID in Spreadshop

        • Log in to your Spreadshop account.

        • Go to Settings > Marketing > Google.

        • Paste the Property ID into the Google Property ID field.

      • Confirm Verification in Google Search Console

        • Return to Google Search Console and click “Verify”.

        • If verification doesn’t work right away, wait about an hour and try again. Caching delays may cause a short wait.

Having Trouble with Domain Verification?

If verification fails, double-check that you're using the exact same domain across all steps of the process.

Important: Your domain must match the one used in your Google verification code.

Example:

  • You log in using a domain that ends in .de

  • The Google verification code includes a domain ending in .de

  • Then your Spreadshop URL must also use .de for the verification to succeed.

  • Using a different domain ending (like .com instead of .de) will cause Google to reject the verification.

Once your site is verified, you’ll be able to use all features of Google Search Console, including search performance insights and indexing controls.
